So far this is the only host we have tested on this configuration — there is nothing to compare it against yet. The ranking becomes meaningful once others are added.
What a 2 vCPU · 4 GB VPS is
2 vCPU against 4 GB. Two threads let you separate background from foreground: while one is busy with a build or a backup, the other keeps serving users. That is 2 GB per core — a balanced, general-purpose configuration with no bias either way.
4 GB is the point where a mid-size database's working set fits in memory whole: 978 MB of buffers plus the filesystem cache. Hence the effect — the disk stops being the read bottleneck.
This is where the machine stops being limited by one thing. The weak link differs by host: disk for one, CPU generation for another, the route to your users for a third. The overall score is what surfaces whose weak spot is where.
The table compares only 2 vCPU · 4 GB — nothing else is in it. That makes the numbers directly comparable: behind them is the same order placed at different companies. Confirm cost on the host's own site.
